The Mira Costa baseball team won the El Segundo Tournament by beating Palos Verdes High School 2-0 on Saturday.
The Mustangs went 4-0 in the tournament. Seniors Chris Alcala and Gordon Cardenas both helped pitch a shutout for Costa and to help with the win.
“We played a great tournament,” senior outfielder Kevin Lopez said. “We played as a team and came out with wins as a result.”
The Mustangs play again on Saturday, March 16, against Bonita High School as part of the Redondo tournament.
