The Mira Costa baseball team started off Bay League with a crucial 8-1 win over West Torrance on Wednesday, April 10.
Seniors Gordon Cardenas, Kevin Lopez, and junior Austin Yamada all helped in the pitching effort only letting up one run.
“It was a great way to start the league season,” Lopez said. “We worked well as a team and came out with a big win.”
The boys next game will be tomorrow against West at home.
