Girls tennis falls to Peninsula, 4-14

The girls tennis team played in a Bay League match against Peninsula High School on Tuesday and lost 4-14.

“Our girls did pretty well in the Bag league matches today against such a difficult team,” said coach Joe Ciasulli. “We hope the girls keep the good work up.”

Freshman doubles team Isabella Draskovic and Katarina Draskovic won two sets in doubles. Senior Paula Cenusa and junior Mai Nojima also won two sets in doubles. Both teams fell to the Peninsula’s number one doubles team.

“We played a really difficult team yesterday,” Katatrina Draskovic said. “They are number one in division one. My sister and I won two of our matches, but also lost two.”

Costa tennis has a record of 11-2 in Bay League and Peninsula is currently undefeated, with a score of 12-0. Costa will play again on Wednesday against Cerritos High School at home.
