Baseball beats Inglewood by a landslide, 19-1

The Mustang baseball team beat Inglewood High School at home on Friday, by a score of 19-1, which improved their overall record to 17-7. The Mustangs now hold a Bay League record of 4-2.

During the game the Mustangs had four runs coming from junior Blake Hammerstein, and three coming from senior Jackson Michalski. Mustangs pitcher senior Miles Kluth recorded 26 strikes out of the 43 pitches he threw and pitched 4 of the seven innings played.

“We played a great game,” Kluth said. “We had great hitting and our defense has really improved.”

The Mustangs will play the Simi Valley High School tomorrow, May 2. If they are able to defeat Simi Valley the Mustangs will have an overall record of 18-7. The Mustangs are practicing hard as their season begins to come to a close.

“We are at the tip of our game right now,” Kluth said. “We are constantly improving our game and our teamwork is really improving.”
