The Manhattan Beach Board of Trustees meeting approved ten new courses on Wednesday for Mira Costa’s 2016-17 school year.
American Sign Language CP, Astrophysics CP, AP Chinese Language and Culture, Computer Science and Software Engineering CSE CP, Financial Algebra CP, AP Human Geography, Principles of Engineering CP, String Orchestra CP, United States History Honor and World History Honors were approved to Costa’s course selection. At the board meeting all members supported the motion to approve the classes.
“Since the prerequisites aren’t on today’s agenda the board will need to further discuss those and make a decision promptly,” Board member Karen Komatinsky said. “Our goal now is to educate all the counselors at Costa of the new courses and their prerequisites so that they can help students decides for classes next year.”
