Mac Miller excited audiences at The Observatory with a set including his most popular songs

With the release of his new album, "The Divine Feminine" Mac Miller stun viewers at The Observatory in Santa Ana on November 10, 2016. The show featured opening acts from Miller's DJ, Clockwork, and producer, Soulselection.

Young rapper, Mac Miller pleased crowds with an energetic and thrilling performance of his new album “The Divine Feminine”.

Miller’s concert entertained the audience with his exhilarating performance, a breathtaking collection of his tracks and the addition of two entertaining openers produced a thoroughly engrossing show.

The show took place at The Observatory in Santa Ana on November 10 and opened with sets by Miller’s DJ, Clockwork DJ and producer, Andre Power. The concert was Miller’s first performance in Los Angeles since moving to New York in 2015.

Mac Miller is a rapper from Pittsburgh who gained fame from his mixtape “K.I.D.S” released in 2010. He is recently notable for his singles “Weekend”, “Donald Trump”, and “Dang!”. This year, Mac Miller released his new album “The Divine Feminine” featuring popular artists such as Anderson Paak and Kendrick Lamar.

The show featured two entertaining opening acts to excite the crowd before Miller’s performance. DJ Clockwork started the show by performing a pleasurable set and was soon followed by producer Andre Power who played a diverse mix of popular songs including “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “Minnesota”. The inclusion of exciting opening acts made the show more amusing for all in attendance.

Ian Lockwood/ La Vista  In addition to the astonishing opening acts, Mac Miller played a stellar set filled with his hit songs. Miller performed tracks from his new album, but filled the set majority of the set with older songs such as  “Donald Trump” and “Diablo”. The inclusion of Miller’s most well known songs allowed the audience to sing together and further resonate with his performance.

Furthermore flashing fluorescent lights accompanying each individual track that synchronized with the beat added a visually pleasing aesthetic to the performance. The incorporation of thrilling visuals added a dynamic element to the performance.

While all the performers put on a worthwhile performance, The Observatory had oversold the show resulting in the venue being uncomfortable for the crowd. It was nearly impossible to see the stage through the massive number of audience members in attendance, taking away from the overall concert experience.

Despite Mac Miller’s performance being overcrowded, the opening acts along with Miller himself performed enthralling sets featuring crowd pleasing tracks, exhilarating and entertaining all in attendance.
