Mira Costa’s boys basketball team fell to Peninsula High School 68-45 on Tuesday at Peninsula High School. The top players was senior guard Ryan White racking up 15 points and seven assists.

Costa achieved a lot of open looks in the game but were unable to make many of them. The Mustangs were unable to catch up to Peninsula in the end, losing the game by 23 points.

“They played zone and we were patient and attacked it with our passing,” senior forward Jonas Pittman said.

The Mustangs, now 10-7 overall and 0-1 in Bay League, will play Palos Verdes High School in a home game on Friday. According to White, the team will come out with energy and get a win.

“We are hoping to play better than we did tonight and come out with a win,” Pittman said.
