Mira Costa’s Associated Student Body will host its annual Winter Formal at the Westin Los Angeles Hotel on Feb. 4 with the theme, “City of Stars.”

ASB senior Whitney Davis and junior Sarah Childs organized the event. In hopes of getting as many attendees as possible, ASB members have been advertising the event since tickets went on sale on Jan. 8. Ticket sales end today.
“My favorite part of the event personally is getting all my friends to go and taking pictures and getting dressed up together before,” Davis said. “The Westin seemed like the perfect place for fun and dancing.”

Winter Formal is open to all grades. The goal of the event, according to ASB members, is to bring together students of all grades and for them to have fun and enjoy their high school experience
“My favorite part about formal is that it’s the first dance that freshmen go on dates for real,” Claypoole said. “It is a bigger venue, capable of fitting a lot more people than usual, and it’s not connected to the hotel directly, so it is a great environment.”
