“Bill Nye Saves the World” brings about a new and improved Bill Nye with lots of admirable content.
“Bill Nye Saves the World” is a modern spin-off of Bill’s past show, “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” that consists of comedy, simplistic science, and entertaining topics.

The show contains an array of celebrity guests, as well as a panel of people involved in science to speak about the controversial matters. These people consist of laboratory scientists, scientific authors, and much more. They help add more perspectives on the topics and some even chose to elaborate on specific problems within that one topic.
Each 30 minute episode is filmed in front of a live audience and focuses on a current science issue in the world such as global warming and vaccinations. He addresses the topics with the idea that with proper leaders, many positive changes can come about for the environment and the science field as a whole.

Because the topics that Bill is addressing are so important in the world today, it can attract more people to watch the show because it can almost serve as a form of information, by keeping the viewers updated with current issues in the world. This can help attract a wider range of viewers while also being educational.
Unlike his past show, “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” this new series takes a more adult approach to science. The episodes cover how politics play a major role in how science and the world is developing. Bill openly speaks about political leaders making mistakes regarding the environment. Although this could cause controversy amongst some, it is important that he speaks about how some politicians are negatively effecting our environment.
The simplistic language throughout the show makes it simple for most people to understand exactly what he is talking about. This is beneficial to the viewers, as it makes it easier to stay engaged and invested in the topic.
Bill and his celebrity guests take a comical approach to each topic. This helps lighten the mood on what could be very depressing subjects. This comedy also keeps the viewers engaged, so they do not get lost in the midst of a bunch of science-talk that may otherwise be dry in content.

The positive voice Bill includes in this show is very encouraging and can make the viewer want to be more involved in making a change in the world, even if it is just as simple as recycling or compost. “Bill Nye Saves the World” is not only very informative but also quite entertaining. As the topics are geared towards a more mature crowd, people under the age of 15 may have trouble following the show. This show can be viewed on Netflix.
