Mira Costa’s tennis team fell to Palos Verdes High School at an away game on Tuesday. Top performers freshman Kacey Feng and sophomore Olga Nagy kept a solid lead for Costa throughout the match.

Costa went 6-12 in their match today as doubles players Feng and Nagy won two of their three matches against Palos Verdes. Although they did not pull out a win it was still a good match as everyone played well, said Nagy.

“Palos Verdes is a really good team,” Nagy said. “We all played our best out there.”

The Mustangs, now 4-4 overall and 0-2 in Bay League, will play Beverly Hills High School tomorrow at home. Costa tried their best but in the end did not pull out as many matches as they could have, said senior Elena Olsen.

“We played really well,” Olsen said. “Especially for tomorrow’s match we can improve on our mental game.”
