Costa’s Associated Student Body (ASB) announced on Sept 13th the winners of the freshman elections after fifth period, after voting for the election took place on Sept 13th during second period.

Freshmen campaigned from Sept. 7- 12, which included hanging up bright posters around the Costa campus. This year’s winners were Zach Wohl for freshman President, Livy Arensdorf for Vice President, and Brett Manley for Secretary and Treasurer.

“This year, we had more than 30 freshman express interest at the initial meeting,”  ASB supervisor and Activities Director Lisa Claypoole said.

Candidates could run for President, Vice President, or Secretary/Treasurer, and could run for multiple positions. Voting was open only to the freshman class.

“I definitely want to have a positive impact.” Brett Manley, the new freshman Secretary and Treasurer said. “I want to look back on changes and I’ve made and to be looked up to, and I want to do as much as I can for this school as part of ASB. That is, without a doubt, my main goal.”
