A total of 52 members of the Mira Costa’s Model United Nations Program attended the annual Cerritos High School Model United Nations conference on Saturday Oct. 14, which took place at Cerritos High School.
Novice delegates, mainly freshmen, participated in this conference. Students have been preparing for this debate since mid-September by researching their topics and writing position papers and speeches, MUN Secretary General Samantha Walley said.
“We make our students prepare for this conference in class because in class is often the most competitive experience they will have and thus prepare them for outside debates,” Walley said.
