Four and a half years after his first billboard hit, Post Malone solidifies a career amongst the best in the industry with the release of his third studio album, “Hollywood’s Bleeding.”

Post Malone makes music his canvas by perfectly blending a variety of genres such as Hip-Hop and Rock and Roll in “Hollywood’s Bleeding”. The artist beautifully conveys emotion through his soothing sound, diverse melodies, and relatable lyrics to create musical masterpieces.

Austin Richard Post, professionally known as Post Malone, is a Dallas-born hip-hop artist and singer who has risen to become one of the most recognizable names on the billboards. Post Malone jumped onto the scene with his debut hit, ‘White Iverson.’ Post followed that up with a platinum album in “Stoney” and another in “beerbongs & bentleys” as well.

“Hollywood’s Bleeding” is Post Malone’s third album, released by Republic Records. The album has a total of 17 tracks and a number of features from established artists which include Ozzy Osbourne, Travis Scott, SZA, Future, Meek Mill, Young Thug, DaBaby, Hasley, and Lil Baby. The project is expected to make around $550k of album sales in its first week alone, according to Hits Daily Double.

“Hollywood”s Bleeding” carries a diverse set of sounds from Rock and Roll in the track “Allergic”, to singing and rap in “Enemies”, featuring DaBaby. Each track utilizes unique aspects of various genres such as hip hop and soul. The track “Take What You Want,” featuring Ozzy Osbourne and Travis Scott, epitomizes the melting pot of sounds present within the album with its guitar-based melody, background drums, and heavy autotune.

Post Malone’s free-flowing vocals and soft notes are quick to notice in “Hollywood’s Bleeding.” Post’s high-pitched voice beautifully compliments the album’s instrumentals and melodies while encapturing a narrative through emotional lyrics. Post Malone precisely encompasses this sound in “Sunflower-Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” featuring Swae Lee.

The collaborations on “Hollywood’s Bleeding” excel at accompanying Post Malone’s melodic, mainstream sound. “Die For Me” featuring Future and Hasley showcases perfection in the versatility of the contrasting musicians while satisfying auditorily. The most impressive features on the album include Ozzy Osbourne/Travis Scott’s and SZA’s in the track “Staring At The Sun.”

Several of the tracks from “Hollywood’s Bleeding” hold potential to become mainstream and popular among billboards. Tracks including “Hollywood’s Bleeding, Myself, Goodbyes, and Wow.” renovate modern sound with likeable melodies, memorable lyrics, and impeccable vocals.

Post Malone’s “Hollywood’s Bleeding” proves to be very original in its approach of portraying and combining generations of music all into one album. The album pushes boundaries to what Hip Hop can entail with genuine instrumentals, touching vocals, and quality production.

“Hollywood’s Bleeding” was released on September 6th and can be purchased on iTunes and Amazon. The album can also be streamed on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal.
