On Nov. 12th the Mira Costa boys and girls cross country teams traveled away to compete in the Mount SAC CIF Prelims race. Both the boys and girls teams placed second in the races, meaning that they will be advancing to the next level of CIF.
Boys senior captain Adam Perez led the Mustnags by placing placed first for Costa and 10th overall with a time of 14:48. Girls senior captain Kelli Sugimoto led the team placing third in her race with a time of 16:52.
Both the boys and girls teams will be advancing to the CIF Finals on Saturday, Nov. 19th to compete at Mount SAC course once again.
