La Vista is the student newspaper of Mira Costa High School. Its content, which is the responsibility of the La Vista staff, is not subject to administrative approval. Unsigned editorials, which are designated as “Staff Editorials” on this website, reflect the opinions of the newspaper as a whole. Conversely, individual opinion articles represent the individual writers’ views only. Advertisements do not necessarily represent the newspaper’s viewpoints. La Vista is an open forum for student expression, and welcomes signed letters on topical issues from the MCHS community. They may be mailed to Mike McAvin in the administration building mailbox or emailed to lavistamedia@gmail.com. Letters may be edited for length and clarity.
