‘Hey Big Boy’ by Bert Kreischer quickly grabs your attention right off the bat with a couple controversial jokes and a unique sense of comedy.

‘Hey Big Boy,’ a standup comedy routine special on Netflix, is not for the faint of heart. With a runtime of one hour and 30 minutes, the routine is hilarious and laugh-inducing  many times throughout the special. Even for those who do not particularly like to watch standup comedy, but this one leaves the viewer wanting more and searching for similar experiences.

This is Bert Kreischer’s third Netflix stand up special and is most notably known for taking his shirt off at the beginning of every standup routine.

He shares with the audience what many people would be too embarrassed to share and has an incredible way to interact with his audience making it relatable to many.

Kreischer makes the show fun and interactive by asking members of the audience questions that tie in with his jokes making you feel more connected to the show. Something that is not commonly done in stand up routines.

A place where Kreischer’s jokes fall short is when he laughs at his own jokes right after he says the punchline. This is a big con when looking at his work and his work. It distracts from his routine and  holds him back from the Dave Chappelles of the world.

The creativity, well crafted jokes, and interaction with the audience makes this a must watch for people who are into standup and even to those who don’t really dabble in stand up routines. This is well worth the hour and 30 minutes of your day especially during these times where it is necessary to find some comedic relief.

‘Hey Big Boy’ by Bert Kreischer is available on Netflix and is rated TV-MA for good reason.
