Un Caffe Altamura opens in downtown Manhattan Beach, bringing authentic and fresh European-style dishes to the South Bay.
Un Caffe Altamura, one of the newest local dining additions, provides a combination of creativity and comfort with its welcoming environment.
Beginning with the hand-painted mural, which encloses its outside seating, the cafe has an earthy touch to its decoration. Upon entrance, the storefront, which faces the ocean and Highland Avenue is outdoor as well. This amenity draws attention to the restaurant from the street.
The cafe opened to the public during the Spring of 2021. It opened in the space formerly known as Homie MB, a contemporary beachside cafe. Homie MB doubled as a cafe and small store. Its original layout was kept, and is a perfect and convenient location of the cafe is for hungry locals and visitors passing through the main downtown area looking for a different meal to have. The menu starts with a choice of drinks and a variety of unique beverages including coffees, teas, juices and alcohol.
The lavender honey latte is extremely popular as well as their other handcrafted lattes. They serve matcha and chai beverages as well as cappuccinos, mochas, and fresh espresso. There are diverse and savory pastries such as croissants, muffins, and rotating breads are displayed at the front of the restaurant where you order.
Un Caffe Altamura exhibits a delicious menu with many options for every meal. The menu offers various breakfast options. There are more savory options like a French-style omelette, egg frittata, avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches. There are also sweeter breakfast options such as fruit and berries, matcha pancakes, almond milk French toast and delicious pastries.
The menu also highlights several cultural influences with its Mediterranean-style breakfast and original British-style breakfast. For lunch there are many distinct varieties of great choices to choose from.
One of the most popular well-made dishes is the “tagliatelle al gamberi,” which is a shrimp, pancetta & cherry tomato squid ink pasta, and there are also baguette sandwiches, seasonal salads, and tasty appetizers that are perfect for sharing.
The restaurant itself is a comfortable place to get Italian meals with some friends. This restaurant is a great place to visit to try new European flavors
Un Caffe Altamura is located at 1140 Highland Avenue in Manhattan Beach. It is open weekly from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
