During office hours on Feb. 3rd and 5th, Costa administration is hosting its first ever course fair in the Mustang Mall. Different departments will educate students about available courses. This will give students a better idea of what to expect when taking certain classes, and even give them the opportunity to meet the teachers and ask questions they might have.
“The Costa Course Fair is intended to help students make smart, confident choices about their class selections for next year,” History teacher Ms. Lawrence said. “It will provide students with a chance to learn about the variety of courses that Costa offers and what they are truly like. Students will get insight from both the teachers, themselves, and students who have previously taken the course. The goal in all of this is to support students in building balanced schedules that match their strengths, goals and most importantly interests.”
This Tuesday, students can learn about courses such as History, English, World Language, VAPA and Elective offerings – including becoming a teacher’s assistant (TA). On Thursday, the fair will feature Math, Science, Technology & Engineering, and PE courses.
“We hope the fair helps students feel more informed and intentional when selecting courses for the 2026-27 school year,” Lawrence said.
This event will be extremely beneficial for students who are looking to choose the perfect class for them, especially if they are unsure and deciding between subjects.
“I am excited for the upcoming course fair and to learn more about classes I’m interested in. It is such a great opportunity and will be very beneficial in helping me prepare for certain classes” announced Costa sophomore Charlotte Cook.
