Toranj Brings Authentic Persian Flavors to Manhattan Beach

A new Persian restaurant, Toranj, has opened at 1019 Manhattan Beach Boulevard in Manhattan Beach California. The restaurant serves traditional Persian and Mediterranean dishes with a modern touch. The menu included kebabs, rice dishes, appetizers, salads, and stews. Popular items include juicy chicken kabob and beef koobideh, along with tahdig(crispy rice) and shared stews. Guests can also enjoy appetizers such as hummus, spinach borani, and falafel. The interior is clean and modern, and the restaurant offers table service, takeout, and delivery. Reviews so far have been very positive, with diners praising the flavor and quality. Topranj Manhattan beach is open daily from morning to evening.

Toranj was founded in Westwood in 2019 by siblings farnaz and farbod, who wanted to share the flavors of their Persian heritage with Los Angeles. After quickly becoming one of the top Persian restaurants in the city, the family expanded to Manhattan Beach in 2025. The new location keeps the same commitment to fresh ingredients, authentic recipes, and warm hospitality, while adding a coastal atmosphere.

The restaurant’s décor blends Persian culture with California coastal comfort. Wooden tables, soft lighting, and subtle Persian artwork create an inviting space for families and friends. Diners can enjoy both casual meals and special occasions in a space that feels modern yet rooted in tradition.
