Homecoming Court Celebrates Spirit and Connection

Costa’s 2025 homecoming court ready for a night to remember. The court dressed their best, posing before going to the homecoming game.

From dress-up days to the homecoming football game halftime ceremony, homecoming spirit week brought Costa together in spirit and community. For members on court, it was a week of laughter, connection, and memories they’ll carry long after graduation.

Seniors Allie Aita, Alex Dickey, Brenna Traudt, Gavin Owen, Lyla Pool, Jaden Kelley, Sophia Peña, Brodie Kelley, Leilani Tran, Finn Gregory, Ishaan Aggarwal and Juna Manabe included to this year’s homecoming court. Each of them reflect the different personalities, talents, and friendships that make up Costa’s class of 2026.

“Homecoming is one of those traditions that everyone gets excited about,” said Dickey. “It’s not just about being on the field, waiting to see who won, it’s about celebrating what makes this school feel like family.”

The court drove across the track during halftime, waving to cheering classmates and families gathered in the stands.

“All the fun things we got to be a part of really brought us together and showed our school spirit,” Traudt said. “The first dress-up day was so funny, we all saw each other in full costume and couldn’t stop laughing.”

Seniors on Court showed off their creativity and humor through different themed outfits and lunchtime games, filling the week with laughter and pride.
“My favorite part was dressing up and playing the games during lunch,” said Gavin Owen. “It makes Costa feel like a strong community seeing everyone come together to support one another.”

The sense of togetherness carried through the entire week, with students and staff showing pride in what it means to be a Mustang.

“Since the court has different themes than the rest of campus, it was so fun seeing all the duos all out in their own way,” said Pool.

The court members’ time spent preparing together reflected the creativity and spirit that turned homecoming court into a close group.

“Seeing everyone’s outfits everyday and laughing about how full out we went was so fun,” said Jaden Kelley. “At the football game, we were all sitting together and just realized how close we’ve become.”

The court spent weeks of consecutive late nights practicing dances and planning costumes, creating lasting moments that made up the experience.

“There was never a dull moment, whether it was us trying to learn our dance late at night or wearing costumes; everything was incredible,” said Aggarwal.

Their time rehearsing and planning revealed the teamwork and spirit that defined the homecoming court’s bond.

“I was so beyond happy to find out I made court,” said Traudt. “It’s something I’ve wanted since freshman year and it truly was the most amazing experience.”
