Metlox welcomes a new cafe

Manhattan Beach’s beloved Metlox Shopping Center will soon celebrate the opening of a new cafe, Sogno Toscano Cafe, a Tuscan cafe, market, and wine bar.

Sogno Toscano was co-founded by Pietro Brembilla and Brian Cassico, both of whom grew up in Poggibonsi, Tuscany, Italy. The cafe pays homage to traditional Tuscan cuisine, and will include an espresso and wine bar and Italian market. The cafe specializes in drinks, pastries, charcuterie, sandwiches, and more. Many of the ingredients are sourced directly from Italy, including olive oil from Brembilla’s very own farm.

The new cafe will be Sogno Toscano’s third location in Los Angeles, but one of many nationwide. The brand has expanded with locations in Santa Monica, The Grove and Arcadia, as well as in Arizona and New York. The brand also supplies gourmet Italian products to chefs and households across the United States, expanding reach far beyond its physical cafe locations.

In addition to daily cafe service, Sogno Toscano plans to host events and seasonal offerings, creating a space that encourages guests to linger and connect. By blending a relaxed cafe atmosphere with a curated Italian market, the location on Manhattan Beach Blvd aims to bring the spirit of “La Dolce Vita,” or the sweet life, to the South Bay when it opens this year.
