Mira Costa presents its annual Visual Arts Exhibit on May 30

Mira Costa’s annual Visual Arts Exhibit is right around the corner, taking place on May 30 from 5-8PM at Resin Art Gallery. The event will showcase a wide variety of different mediums and art styles created by students from all Mira Costa art classes, and will also feature live music.

Every student in the advanced art classes will be represented in the exhibit, and all students in beginning art classes are welcome to submit art into the gallery. There is no specific theme for the art displayed in the gallery, allowing students to express their creativity and showcase their visions however they like.

All types of different art is shown at the exhibit, ranging from photography and paintings to drawings and sculptures. Each piece reflects the individuality and effort of students from all different levels and classes. The exhibit has been highly anticipated among the art program, and students on average have around 2-3 weeks to prepare and finish art for the exhibit.

Along with the gallery, the exhibit will incorporate a fundraiser to support all of Mira Costa’s art programs. The event stands as a celebration of student talent, growth, and progress throughout the school year.

Events like these are essential for student artists to gain recognition and admiration. Showcasing student art gives others the chance to experience Mira Costa’s Art program, and inspire others by opening unique perspectives.
