Tate McRae’s Miss Possessive World Tour made its LA debut on Friday, Sept. 26 at The Kia Forum. She played 21 of her biggest hits from albums including SO CLOSE TO WHAT and Think Later, and sang her new single “Tit for Tat” for the first time. This single is rumored to be about her ex-boyfriend, singer and songwriter, The Kid Laroi.
The Miss Possessive World Tour is McRae’s first arena tour and fifth career tour. She is set to perform in 15 different states this fall, and make a return to the Forum this November. There were over 14,000 audience members in attendance last Friday, including Costa junior Naomi Dimalanta. “This was one of the best concerts I have ever been to,” Dimalanta said. “Her singing, dancing, and stage presence was incredible, and I am an even bigger fan than I was before.”
McRae’s performance of “Tit for Tat” went viral on social media, and according to the Global Spotify Chart, got over four million streams on the day of its release. The song was added to the set list, and it will become a regular part of the concert from now on. Costa junior Allison Crawford said she was shocked when McRae performed the song. “I was so excited to hear it, and I’m so glad I went to a concert where she performed it,” Crawford said.
There were also many celebrity sightings at the concert. Stars including Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, and Alix Earle were in attendance, singing along to McRae’s music. “She just comes out with hit after hit,” Dimalanta said. “I wish I could go again.”
