A Mira Costa freshman fainted at nutrition in front of rooms 101 and 102 on Friday due to unknown causes.

Immediately after the incident occurred Costa Campus Security were informed and security guard Ray Lee called the paramedics for help.

“The school is in charge of mantaining the well being of its students,” Lee said. “Whenever there is a serious injury, we make sure the student receives professional help.”

According to Lee, the incident occurred at the end of nutrition when students were walking to classes and crowding walkways. The student has fully recovered and is taking medication in order to prevent fainting again, the student who fainted said.
“Hopefully the student will be fine,” Costa Vice Principal Jon Shaw said. “The student has been taken to the hospital and is in good hands.”
