“We came out of the gates with a lot of energy and I think we can build up off of that,” Chan said.

The Mustangs continued to fall behind in the second quarter 10-24. Redondo advansed on, causing Costa to be down 19-36 at the end of the first half. According to senior guard Ryan White, the team needed to box out more and work on defense.

“We can improve on finding where the shooters are and getting to the rim more than just shooting threes,” sophomore guard Aaron Strings said.

Redondo came out in the third quarter strong with a three pointer, making the score 19-39. The Mustangs reacted with two three pointers made by senior guards Jackson Weaver and Ryan White. Costa slowly improved their play but still ended the quarter down 33-55.
