Tour de Pier begins at 8:30am on Sunday morning May 21. The event has been held since 2013 and has raised 3.8 million dollars for cancer charities around the world.

Mira Costa Junior Geena Radville volunteers as a bike technician on behalf of National Charity League. Radville sprayed racers with water guns and offered them words of encouragement.

Costa Sophomore and Amigos Unidos member Troy Gleason also volunteers at Tour de Pier. He helped out around the event and handed out chapstick to riders and pedestrians.

Costa Freshman Nik Tempuro races from 12 to 1 on Sunday afternoon and this is his 3rd year participating on the event. He was on ‘Julie’s Angels’ team which raised over $14,000.

Mira Costa Juniors Megan Fisher and Jake Gordon work in the orange tent for Grow Grocers. The pair volunteered to pass out oranges to Tour de Pier riders and attendees.
