Sophomore Ashley Naylor is paying in goal for Costa Varsity girls soccer and is taking one of the goal kicks to get the ball off of Costa’s side of the field. Ashley Naylor was on Varsity as one of the goalies since her freshman year and has made unimaginable saves as goalie.
Junior Olivia Tuffli is being pushed by one of the Redondo forwards as Olivia tries to clear the ball out of danger. Olivia was stepped on multiple times which lead to an injury towards the end of the game which kept her on the bench for the rest of the game.
Freshman Ava Dykstra dribbles down the line as she heads towards the goal to try and score a goal against Redondo’s goalie. The score was 1-1 during the first half and through balls were played to Ava so that she would score.
Freshman Sydney Saypack makes a move which forces the Redondo defender to fall on a accident which gives Sydney time to go to goal. Sydney scored 2 of the goals in the game and had one assist.
Sophomore Ashley Stepczyk looks for a pass backwards while she is being guarded by a Redondo player trying to take away the ball. Ashley was trying to keep possession of the ball although she had players rushing towards her.
