Mira Costa Associated Student Body hosted a halloween costume contest on Oct. 31 for students, teachers and staff members to participate in.

The contest was judged by ASB members, picking winners for the various categories including best costume of each grade, best group and best staff costume.

“ASB discussed all of the costumes based on pictures they took, then voted,” ASB Activities Director Lisa Claypoole said.

The costume contests allowed participating members to get noticed for the hard work and creativity when dressing up for halloween. It also adds a fun event for people to watch during office hours and celebrate Halloween, ASB campus morale director Becky Angiolini said.

“I was Foxy from Five Nights at Freddy’s because I like the story of the game and I thought I could capture that in this cool costume,” best overall costume winner sophomore Fiona Okida said.
