Mustang Spotlight: Junior Cathy Miao

Q&A with Junior Cathy Miao who is currently taking an astronomy course at El Camino Community College

Q: Why are you taking Astronomy?
A: I really like science in general and I believe astronomy is the most interesting subject.

Q: How many times a week do you attend the class?
A: I go twice a week for an hour and a half each session.

Q: Where is the class?
A: The class takes place at the Planetarium at El Camino Community College.

Q: What science courses are you taking at Mira Costa?
A: I am currently taking AP Biology, AP Environmental Science and AP Physics.

Q: Are you involved in any science related clubs?
A: I am a member of Science Olympiad and Math Club. We are in the process of making a Physics club as well.

Q: Do you want to go into the science field in the future?
A: My goal is to major in astronomy in college. After graduating, I think it would be interesting to research such a mysterious part of our universe.
