Junior attacker Christian Thornton and senior set guard Finn Pardon were the top performers, both finishing with three goals, paving the Mustangs’ way to victory. They were both able to exploit the other team’s defense early on in the game and follow through with their scoring chances.

“It was good that we were able to come out strong and take care of business,” Thornton said.

According to Pardon, the Mustangs are happy about capturing the Bay League title and are looking forward to California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) playoofs.

“Today’s win was great for the team,” said Pardon. “Now we can use the rest of the season to improve for CIF.”
