Guns, gore, and witty comedy all come together perfectly in the action packed movie “London Has Fallen”.

“London Has Fallen” is filled with gripping action and  witty dialogue to keep the mood light during times when the movie becomes too serious. This movie has some flaws however, including its highly unrealistic story and the low quality of its CGI (Computer Generated Images).

The film starts with the death of the British prime minister and a massive funeral in London is held in which many heads of governments from around the world come to pay their respects. Despite the large amount of security present, terrorist attacks on the funeral occur that eventually spread all over the city.

The terrorist attacks begin a bitter struggle for survival for a secret service agent Mike Banning (Gerald Butler) and the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart). Banning works to try and save the president from the terrorists who want to kill him.

“London Has Fallen” was well written with witty dialogue that for the most part was funny and lightened the mood of the movie after violent and serious scenes. Only on rare occasions was the commentary unnecessary and not funny which shows that although it wasn’t perfect it was still very well written.

“London Has Fallen” is a very well acted movie with many highly successful and famous actors featured in it like Morgan Freeman. This movie featured were delivered well by the actors in between exciting action scenes that developed the little plot it had well.

“London Has Fallen” is well directed and it’s exciting action keeps a viewer on the edge of their seat while keeping them entertained with witty comedy. This movie is well planned and its  comedy and action sequences keep it balanced.

The CGI in the movie “London Has Fallen” was awful and extremely unrealistic which is surprising due to the movies large budget. The CGI was terrible as helicopters and other created images looking completely unrealistic.

Additionally, This movie is very unoriginal and follows the same basic action movie plot of its prequel “Olympus Has Fallen”. This movie is unoriginal and has little plot Because of the nearly constant action scenes which, the star filled cast of “London Has Fallen” is smothered and the plot is given little time to develop.

This movie was made to be an exciting action movie that keeps the mood light with comedic dialogue between characters when it gets too serious. Although this movie will have no lasting impact it is a very exciting movie that is also funny and is entertaining but it does lack quality in some critical areas.

“London Has Fallen”  is playing  nationwide and is rated R.
