Costa defeated Rosary Academy 7-4 on Friday. On Saturday, Costa fell to Dana Hills 5-4, and Villa Park 7-6.
Senior attacker Aminadi Anorve and sophomore attacker Katie Alcantara were Costa’s top performers throughout the weekend, tallying plenty of goals.
“I felt that we were passing the ball around well and scored on our chances,” said junior attacker Sami Jordan said. “However, on Saturday, we struggled on offense and defense, unfortunately lost both games.”
Costa, now 1-2 overall will next take on Los Alamitos on Tuesday in a home Bay League game. According to Jordan, Costa needs to work as a team to be successful in Tuesday’s game.
“To be successful, we need to be prepared and focused,” Jordan said. We also need to work together as a team to be successful.”
