In the last Bay League game of the season, the Mira Costa football team hosted the Redondo Seahawks on Thursday Nov. 10. The Mustangs fell to the rival Seahawks 21-7, though the score does not reflect the flow of the game overall. Entering into CIF play, the Mustangs have a record of 4-6 overall and 3-2 in Bay League.

Senior running back Alec Weaver carried 3 yards into the end zone for the Mustangs first and only touchdown to tie the game 7-7 with just over two minutes to play in the first half. However, Redondo would score again before the half to take a 14-7 lead.

Despite the efforts of senior running back Steve Giovatti, junior receiver Raphael Lawson-Gale, and junior quarterback Ryan Sweigart, the Mustangs were unable to recover.

Costa now heads into CIF and will face its first opponent, Oak Christian, on Friday Nov. 18 on the road.
