Girls lacrosse pulls off comeback against Peninsula

The Mira Costa girls lacrosse team kicked off its season with a win against Peninsula on Friday, March 9. The win puts the girls record at 1-0-0 overall for the season.

By halftime, Costa was at a 7-6 deficit, but the Mustangs made a comeback and took the game with a final score of 13-9. Sophomore Leah Sepanek and juniors Lexi Kurugian and Susanna Sieke were crucial players on offense. Junior goalie Monique Rohrbach had another successful game with many saves after stopping the Panthers’ goals numerous times.

The girls play on Monday, March 12 away against Culver City High school at 4 p.m.
