On Monday, March 12, at Mira Costa, the Mira Costa boys’ lacrosse team defeated Downey High School making their overall record 1-0. Their scheduled first game on Friday, March 9 against Peninsula High was forfeited by Peninsula after their bus broke down on the way to Costa.
Seniors Austin Hafdell and Chris O’Brien each scored in the Mustang’s 9-4 win over Downey High.
The team’s next game will also be played at Costa against Bay League rival Redondo Union High School on March 14.
