The Mira Costa wrestling team traveled to West Torrance High School in their first regular season all division dual on Wednesday Nov. 29. Mira Costa came out as the dominate team, winning 6 out of 7 dual meets, making the Mustang’s season record 1-0.
As a team, Costa started off their season with landslide defeats of Carson High School, 37-27, and San Pedro High School, 56-19.
“I think that varsity did extremely well along with all the other wrestling teams,” said head-coach Jimmy Chaney. “I am positive that we’ll do well in the upcoming season.”
The varsity team will compete in the Warrior Varsity Invitational on Saturday Dec. 1 at West Torrance High School.
