The Mira Costa varsity water polo team beat Esperanza, 9-4 on Saturday, Dec. 8 and improves its record to 5-2.
Four out of the nine goals were scored by senior captain Emily Milstead. The Mustangs play again on Tuesday, Dec. 18 away at Capo Valley at 3:30.
“I think our record really shows how well we have been doing,” sophomore Erin Clifford said. “We played really well and I am so happy for Milstead for playing so well.”
