The Mira Costa boys varsity basketball team defeated Tocaz High School 70-38 on Wednesday Dec. 12 in a tournament at El Segundo High School.
Seniors Kevin Kim and Cole Feaster scored 24 and 15 points respectively. Junior Justin Strings scored 10 points.
“We played intensely the whole game and that gave us the lead,” sophomore Gavin Reegan said. “[Junior] KJ Garret also made his first dunk of the year, which was a real standout.”
The Mustangs will compete in the next stage of the tournament Thursday, Dec. 13.
