The Mira Costa softball team beat Santa Fe high school on April 20 in their second game of the two weekend La Mirada Tournament. The Mustangs won, 6-4 and now have a 15-4-1 record overall.
Senior Nikki Gialketsis went 2-3 with one run batted in and she scored on run for Costa. Sophomore Ulufa Lailua went 2-3 and scored one run with two runs batted in. Senior Taylor Glover went 3-3 and scored two runs throughout the game.
“We did well at getting ahead of each team in the beginning of each game and got hits when we needed too,” Gialketsis said. “We played good defense but we continue to work hard to improve in each game.”
The girls next play at home on April 24 against Palos Verdes High School at 3:15.
