The Mira Costa Marching Band will begin its season this Saturday at a tournament at West High School.
The theme of this year’s marching band show, ‘Who Wants to Live Forever?’, is based on vampires. To go along with this theme, marching band students will wear capes during their performances.
“This theme mashes together Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart in this moral conflict of vampires who want to kill people,” drum major senior Ryan Cosner said. “Every year they choose a great theme.”
