On Oct 21, Mira Costa boys water polo faced off against Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in a bay league match. The game, held at Mira Costa, was the second time the boys faced off against Peninsula. The Mustangs were able to start fast and end the game with a strong lead, resulting in a final score of 10-4.

Although Peninsula attempted to put up a fight, their offense and defense proved to be no match for the Mustangs. Captain Andrew Todd was able to score 3 goals, Jake Miller-Tolt was able to score 2 goals, and Brandon Lavinsky. Nick Dale was also able to block several goals coming from the Peninsula offense, leading to the 10-4 win.

“We know how Peninsula runs their offense and I think we really just train harder than them which really showed today.” Goalie Nick Dale said. “We came out strong and forced bad shots on defense.”

The Mustang’s next game will be held on Thursday, Oct 23, at Mira Costa against West Torrance.
