Swimming lengths of the pool and treading water for over 40 minutes might seem grueling enough, but it is only a small sliver of the reality of girls water polo. Every game, for minutes on end, the girls use extreme aggression to gain the advantage over the other team.
However, from the viewer’s perspective, little to none of this action can be seen. The situation under the water is nothing similar to what the viewers and referees witness happening above.
To portray the true nature of water polo, we implemented a swimming videographer equipped with a GoPro camcorder. Now, viewers can finally witness what happens beneath the surface.
