On Saturday, Girls Varsity Beach Volleyball played in a regular season tournament at Dockweiler Beach, in El Segundo. They remain undefeated, easily winning all three games against West Torrance and an additional three against Redondo.
Katrina Kernochan and Skylar Caputo won against West 21-1 and 21-3, then dominating again, defeating Redondo 21-10 and 21-13. Claudia Lemieux and Chloe Markland beat West Torrance 21-2 and 21-4, and beat Redondo by a landslide, with final scores of 21-11 and 21-15. Lastly, duo Avery Hazelrigg and Lindsay Chalmers won against West Torrance due to a forfeit and beat Redondo 21-14 and 21-12.
“Yesterday was another great tournament,” Lemieux said. “Our team is really strong this year and playing extremely well. Every team seems to be working well together and it’s a lot of fun to get out there, especially when we’re winning.”
