The Mira Costa Mustangs varsity volleyball team faced off against Newport Harbor on Tuesday, at Mira Costa High School. The Mustangs defeated Newport Harbor, winning all three games.
Junior Roy McFarland, and seniors Blake Markland and Trevor Liu, supported the team and contributed the most to the Mustangs 3-0 win. The Mustangs first game ended with a score of 25-18, the second 25-23, and third with a score of 25-12.
“We had a great game today and we came out strong knowing we could beat this team,” Liu said. “I hope we can continue playing like this so we can be the team to beat.”
The Mustangs next game will be on Friday, against Loyola High School at Loyola Marymount University.
