In the ninth game of the season, the Mira Costa boys volleyball team battled Palos Verdes, finishing with a 4-1 victory.
In the first set the Mustangs struggled without their starters senior Blake Markland and junior Roy McFarland. The Sea Kings won the first set; however, Costa bounced back and won the next three sets with help from junior Jackson Wedbush.
The Mustangs next game will be on Thursday, March 26 away, against Peninsula High School.
