The Mira Costa Boys Varsity golf team beat Culver City at Penmar Golf Course on Monday.
With a solid score of 38 on the back nine Junior Nick Harry, with help from Senior captain Jason Ruberman, was able to put the Mustangs ahead with a final score of 142-150 overall.

Due to consistent drives down the fairway Harry was able to birdie his last hole, contributing to the Mustangs victory. Harry had help from Ruberman after he parred on holes six and seven pushing Costa into the lead.

“It’s definitely an advantage playing on our home course but everybody performed well today and it was great team effort all around. Hopefully we can carry this momentum moving forward,” said Harry.

The Mustangs will take on Bay League competitors Palos Verdes today hoping to improve their record to 8-1 on the season. The Mustangs are currently ranked first in Bay League.

“Today, the team played some excellent golf starting from the first hole to the last. Many kids were able to keep their drives straight down the fairway putting them in great position for their next shot. We hope to keep this streak going tomorrow against PV,” said coach Ryan Branning.
