“Wolfenstein: Old Blood” is based in Germany around the period of 1946, in which Nazis have just begun using new technology in order to win the second world war. Play as B.J. Blazkowicz a trained killer focused on stopping the nazi regime.

The best part of “Wolfenstein: Old Blood” is by far the unique play style. Its intense action packed gameplay is not like any other FPS. The gameplay allows players to stay engaged by giving them the option to dual wield any weapon creating mass chaos and a granting the player a lot of entertainment.

Although there is only a story in Wolfenstein: Old Blood it is exciting to play and madly addictive. The intricate story mode grants players the ability to do whatever they want with the game, based on their actions the gameplay will be majorly affected based on how the player acts. For example if the player decides to play stealthy they will be faced by far less enemies then they would have if they went in guns blazing.

A great part of “Wolfenstein: Old Blood” is an old pipe, a melee weapon and tool that the character has all game. Throughout the game the player relies on this weapon to take down enemies or perform tasks that vary from climbing walls or busting down doors. This weapon is utilized by the player the entire game and grants them the ability to interact with the environment in a combination of ways.

A really fun piece of “Wolfenstein: Old Blood” is the diverse group of enemies. While most WWII video games feature a confined group of enemies that only varies between Japanese and German soldiers. “Wolfenstein: Old Blood” features an assortment of regular soldiers, various specialty enemies, and the most dreaded of all armored dogs. In addition to those enemies there are also boss-fights that vary in difficulty and location throughout the game.

The one unfortunate component to Wolfenstein: Old Blood is the amount of gameplay. While its predecessor “Wolfenstein: The New Order” took well above 12 hours to complete, “Old Blood” only lasts from 6-8 hours. Although the story is fun and replayable it is still somewhat limited and not a very time consuming game.

In conclusion “Wolfenstein” is a terrifically designed game that successfully implements realistic graphics with intense gameplay, truly making it one of a kind.
Wolfenstein: Old Blood is currently available for all next gen consoles, and PC for 20$, and is rated M for mature.
