Kung Fu Panda impresses with new energy and excitement

Kung Fu Panda 3 is the newest trilogy in the Kung Fu Panda series, bringing the series’s excitement and energy back to the theaters.

In the beginning of the film, the evil spirit Kai (J.K. Simmons) reveals his motive which is to steal the chi from all warriors and pandas throughout China. Chi is the active principle of forming life. Po is the dragon warrior and is destined to defeat Kai, but the only way to defeat Kai is by learning chi. Po was abandoned at a young age but his father Li Shan (Bryan Cranston) says he will take his son back to the secret panda village and teach him about chi.

After leaving the Spirit Realm, Kai steals the chi of Po’s close friends Master Crane (David Cross), Master Mantis (Seth Rogen), Master Viper (Lucy Liu), Master Monkey (Jackie Chan), and Po’s beloved kung fu teacher Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman). Master Tigress (Angelina Jolie) warns Po at the secret panda village about what has happened to his friends, Po and the pandas prepare to defeat Kai once they receive the terrible news. They must prepare for battle since almost all the warriors of China have been defeated by Kai.

Overall, the knee slapping jokes throughout the film make the film very humorous. The animations produced by Dream Works and Oriental Dream Works cause the movie to be more inviting and colorful. The movie is also available in 3D which adds even more intriguing sights along with the diverse cast and nail biting storyline.

The film has many hilarious jokes that make fun of the characters and bring back memorial jokes from the previous movies. For example, Po has a secret move when he uses his finger to disable his opponent that he uses in the previous films. Also the facial expressions of characters from the astonishing animation companies make the movie very comical.

Additionally, the exquisite animations stand out, especially in 3D. The animation companies use very bright colors to make to movie and 3D effects more appealing to the eye. The 3D effects make the fighting scenes more breathtaking and action packed because objects and people are flying off the screen at the audience.

The diverse cast also adds excitement to the movie. Po brings laughter due to his jokes that come again and again throughout the movie, and his memorial catchphrases and jokes from the previous films are amusing as well.

The trilogy introduces a new character named Mei Mei (Kate Hudson) who adds comical jokes and hilarious actions to the film through dancing because she is the best dancer in all of China. Mei Mei uses her dancing and face expressions to make the film a lot more whimsical.

Overall, the jokes that come rapidly after each other make people of all ages giggle and the amazing animations and 3D special effects create a bright and amusing atmosphere. The diverse cast and priceless jokes said by new and old characters make the movie original and different from the previous films.

The movie Kung Fu Panda 3 is rated PG, and is available at all local theaters and available for $13.50 and $17.00 in 3D.
