In the 21st century, it seems that everyone always has their phones by their side but not always paper and a pen, but Bloom Built’s app “Day One 2” that allows people to write and publish journal entries wherever they are.

Day One 2 is the updated version of a previous journaling app called Day One, allowing users to upload journal entries with innovative features such as photos. The app is practical and easy to use with a variety of extra features that set it apart from other apps.

Day One 2 is exactly like a paper journal, but more portable and less time consuming. The app can be used anywhere which makes it perfect for people who like to write or take photos such as journalists and authors. It can also be accessed on the Apple Watch, which makes it still useful without a phone.

The app contains a simple design, creating an interface that easy to navigate and enjoyable to look at. The simplicity of this app is helpful when using it because users can edit and display their work without having to dig through the app. There is no clutter so it is very easy to find past entries, which is helpful to users who want to read their work.

Additionally, there is a variety of creative options for things users can do on the posts, which leads to unique entries. For example, there is an option to change the fonts and bold or italicize the text, features that help users personalize their entries and format them in new ways, which is unprecedented in an digital journaling.

The app also has a calendar and map feature so users can view their work based on where they were when they wrote it or when they wrote it. This feature allows users to organize their entries in more than one way, based on their preferences, making the app innovative and personalized.

The app also includes interesting features such as the temperature outside when the entry was written, the pace they were written at and the ability to create multiple journals. The app also allows users to upload their work to the messages app or create a PDF so they can share it. All of these additional tools create an interative experience and allow the user to make each entry something special

Since “Day One 2” is both a regular journal and a photo journal, there is an option to view all of the uploaded photos as a grid. This organizes them into a presentable and interesting way. Photos can also accompany journal entries which leads to more diverse writings.

Although the app offers a lot of unique things to do, its price is too expensive for what the app does. Other apps such as VSCO and the Google Doc app can do similar things, but are free. The app price discourages many from buying it and leaves those who do unsatisfied.

Even though the price is high, “Day One 2” is a useful app for people who like to journal or take photos. It is well-organized and offers a variety of unique tools not usually seen in other apps. It is portable and can be used on the go, allowing users to write wherever and whenever.

“Day One 2” can be bought on the app store for $4.99 and can be used on the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
