Manhattan Beach Unified School District Executive Director of Human Resources Carolyn Seaton has been appointed as Superintendent of the Orinda Union School District as of Feb 9 .
Seaton is succeeding Dr. Joe Jaconette, who retired at the end of January after eight years as Superintendent. According to the Orinda Union School district website, the board unanimously agreed on Seaton for the Superintendent position and she will officially resume office on May 2.
“It has been a privilege and an honor to work in MBUSD with the best teachers, administrators, students and parents,” Seaton said. “I am eager to take what I have learned from this community to my new district and I know that I am gonna be able to do great work up there from my time here.”
